HFS Consultants Hires Reimbursement Expert Agnes R. Torralba

OAKLAND, Calif., Sept. 24, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- HFS Consultants (HFS), a healthcare consulting company providing management, financial consulting, operations and strategic planning services to hospitals and healthcare facilities, announces it has hired Agnes R. Torralba, as manager in its Government Programs and Reimbursement Practice area.

Torralba began her career at Aetna Life Insurance Company where she was a senior audit reimbursement representative, managing the provider reimbursement cycle of several hospitals. She then moved to the position of reimbursement manager for La Palma Intercommunity Hospital in La Palma and Martin Luther Hospital in Anaheim, where she handled reimbursement functions concurrently for both hospitals. She later did the same for St. Mary Medical Center and Long Beach Community Hospital in Long Beach.

Most recently Torralba was at St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton where she was finance manager for the past 13 years. Her responsibilities included oversight of the hospital's government reimbursement function, regulatory reporting, payor audits, appeals and ensuring compliance with all reporting regulations and requirements.
