HFS Consultants Adds Healthcare Finance Expert, David M. Yoder, To Its Government Programs and Reimbursement Services Practice

SANTA ANA, Calif., Aug. 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- HFS Consultants (HFS), a healthcare consulting company that specializes in healthcare management, operations and strategic planning, announces that David M. Yoder has joined the company in its Santa Ana, California office.

Yoder takes on the role of manager in HFS's Government Programs and Reimbursement Services practice. He will be working in the areas of Medicare wage index, as well as providing research and education regarding regulatory requirements.

Yoder has more than 20 years experience in the healthcare finance industry, including positions with Dignity Health, Centura Health, Methodist Healthcare (Memphis), and as a manager in the Health Sciences Advisory Services group of Ernst & Young LLP.

His most recent position was as Reimbursement Manager for Dignity Health's (formerly Catholic Healthcare West) Arizona market, where he was primarily responsible for ensuring that the healthcare system was appropriately reimbursed by government payers. In addition, his work at Dignity Health included working with one of the largest residency programs in Arizona and developing the regulatory reporting for a new lung transplant program.

Yoder also established and coordinated the Medical Education Reimbursement Committee at Dignity Health, which focused on opportunities in government reimbursement and communicated compliance issues related to residency programs to various finance teams.
