Hey Siri, Start My Car! Viper SmartStart Now Integrated With Siri Voice Control
VISTA, Calif., Oct. 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- From your lips to your car! Viper SmartStart is now integrated with the iPhone's Siri, so with just one word you can start, lock or unlock your car.
Viper SmartStart's 3.0.1 update offers several upgrades to the award-winning app, but Siri has stolen the show.
Siri lets you launch the Viper SmartStart app by simply saying "SmartStart." Even better, you can define a specific command that's executed when the app gets launched, so no more finger tapping is required to start your car. Viper SmartStart users can now enjoy the convenience of fully voice-controlled access to their vehicle.
In order to have the updated app work with Siri integration, users must have an iPhone 4S or iPhone 5 and also must have upgraded to iOS 6. For older iPhones that don't support Siri, drivers can do the same thing just by tapping the Viper icon on their phone.
The 3.0.1 release also includes several other improvements, including in-app controls over SMS and email notifications.
Siri integration is another first for Viper, the brand that created the connected car category. Ever since launching the CES Innovations award-winning Viper SmartStart app in 2009, Viper has been an industry pioneer, connecting drivers to their cars like never before.
