Herzing University Online Launches Master and Bachelor of Science Degrees in Nursing
MILWAUKEE, Feb. 24 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Herzing University Online announced today that it has launched two Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree programs and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree to help talented nurses gain advanced degrees and fill important roles in the health care delivery system where their skills are most needed.
"Our online MSN and BSN degree programs are designed for busy nursing professionals to advance their careers through convenient online classes that give them the flexibility to fit classes around their work and family schedules," said Dr. Todd Rickel, Campus President of Herzing University Online. "With the ongoing shortage of skilled nursing professionals, we believe this high quality, convenient learning option will help make it possible for more individuals to move forward with their nursing career goals and fill many of the roles where talent shortages are the most critical," Rickel added.
Master's degree students can choose the MSN with Nursing Education or Nursing Management concentration to fit their career goals in executive level nursing or teaching positions. With an MSN – Nursing Education degree, graduates will be able to teach in hospitals, doctors' offices, and universities, or they can go on to acquire specialized education credentials such as Certified Diabetes Nurse Educator or Board Certified Nurse Educator. With an MSN – Nursing Management degree, graduates will be qualified to work in a variety of nursing management roles at hospitals, insurance companies, pharmaceutical manufacturers, and managed care organizations.
The online BSN degree is designed as an RN to BSN Bridge Program for individuals who are already working as nurses but want to advance their careers by earning their bachelor's degree. With a BSN degree, graduates will have opportunities to advance their careers through promotion to department management and a variety of administrator roles. This 130-semester credit hour program is open to licensed, registered nurses who have completed an associate degree or diploma in nursing from a nationally or regionally accredited college or university.
Applications are now being accepted for the new MSN and BSN programs. To learn more or register for classes, students are encouraged to contact admissions at 866-508-0748 or www.herzingonline.edu.

Convenience is illustrated by the student choice of resident, hybrid or online options, and by block scheduling so there is no wasted time between classes. All academic programs are career focused and the University has, as one of its important goals, a high percentage of its available graduates working in their career field.
