Herzing University Names Dr. Kitty Kautzer as Provost
Experienced career education leader becomes the university's chief academic officer
MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis., Nov. 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Dr. Kitty Kautzer has been appointed as Provost of Academic Affairs for Herzing University, an accredited private nonprofit institution with 11 campuses in eight states and an online division.
Kautzer, who most recently served as Herzing's Vice Provost, provides strategic leadership on all educational affairs, including curriculum development, assessment of student learning, instructional delivery and library resources and services. Kautzer also oversees academic policy, registration, support services and faculty management.

During her 25 years in academic leadership, Kautzer has focused on the application of technology to teaching and learning, faculty development and curriculum development.

Prior to joining Herzing University, Kautzer served as the chief academic officer at an educational corporation. She also had an 11-year tenure with another institution, where she held several leadership positions, including vice president of academic affairs and interim chief academic officer for 90 regionally and nationally accredited schools with 6,000 faculty members and 116,000 students.
Kautzer earned a Bachelor of Science in Comprehensive Science and Secondary Teaching from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. She received a Master of Science in Education and Doctor of Education from Northern Illinois University.
