Hertz Wins Three Year Contract To Supply Car Rental Services To New Zealand Government
AUCKLAND, New Zealand, April 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Hertz (NYSE: HTZ), the world's largest general use car rental brand, has been appointed as a preferred car rental supplier to the New Zealand government. Hertz was awarded a three year contract following the first All-of-Government (AoG) competitive tender for car hire services. The agreement, which recently came into effect, covers car rentals throughout New Zealand, reinforcing Hertz's position as an industry leader in the country.
Michel Taride, President, Hertz International, said: "We are extremely proud to provide our innovative car rental solutions to New Zealand government agencies through the All-of-Government Rental Vehicles contract. Hertz offers a wide range of products and services backed by our extensive car rental experience with the public sector in New Zealand and across the world."

We have strong experience working together with corporate agencies and government departments and we're looking forward to supporting the important work of the New Zealand government."
The AoG contract provides New Zealand government agencies the ability to hire economy, compact, intermediate and full-size vehicles across the Hertz range. This includes access to Hertz's wide selection of 4WDs, minivans and the Prestige Collection.
As a global leader in its field, Hertz offers a range of innovative products and services in New Zealand including Hertz Gold Plus Rewards, the specially designed NeverLost® satellite navigation system in a range of languages, Mobile Wi-Fi and Premium Roadside Assistance.
Since 2010, the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment has established a number of AoG contracts, ranging from electricity to computers and advertising to air travel.
Collaborative contracts, including AoG and Common Capability contracts, establish a single supply agreement between government and approved suppliers for goods and services. Benefits include cost-savings to agencies, the government and New Zealanders, productivity gains for agencies and suppliers and improved competition.
