Herman Miller Showroom Takes Prize at NeoCon 2010
CHICAGO, June 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Herman Miller's (Nasdaq: MLHR) healthcare division, including Herman Miller Healthcare, Nemschoff and Brandrud, was named the large showroom winner today in the 15th Annual IIDA Showroom and Booth Design Competition, a partnership with Contract magazine. The competition is part of the Association's activities at NeoCon® 2010, held in Chicago, June 14-16.
"Our showroom celebrates our company's ongoing commitment to innovation," said Herman Miller Healthcare President Beth Nickels. "It's meant to be a place where our customers can not only see our latest products and solutions, but learn about and experience new avenues for design. This award is proof that we are delivering on that promise."
Led by Herman Miller Healthcare's Creative Director David Simon, the design team for The Herman Miller Healthcare Showroom (#330) included TVS Design of Atlanta (architecture), Stanley Beaman & Sears (interior) and Remedy (graphics). The showroom features application based layouts to help customers visualize products in their facilities. Aptly themed "Herman Miller Healthcare, Nemschoff and Brandrud: A New Voice," it prominently features Herman Miller Healthcare's Compass™ System (which was recognized with a Gold Best of NeoCon® award for Healthcare Furnishings) and a host of new seating from Nemschoff and Brandrud, demonstrating the strength of the company's product portfolio.
The space was recognized for this honor in the showroom larger than 3,000 sq. ft. category. The IIDA/Contract Magazine Showroom and Booth Design Competition seeks to honor originality of design, visual impact, effective use of materials and the outstanding use of space, color, texture and graphics in showrooms and booths at NeoCon 2010.
