Here Comes Trouble: Urban Decay and Nicole Richie Release New Video Series
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., Sept. 20, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- No stranger to causing trouble, Nicole Richie recently signed on as Urban Decay's newest Troublemaker. The "Great News" star and Creative Director of House of Harlow 1960 fronts the brand's Troublemaker Mascara campaign and will star in a new video series inspired by her troublemaking ways, launching early October.
"I've always known I should be a professional troublemaking model, and I'm so grateful that Wende Zomnir and Urban Decay saw my true talent and appreciate my craft," says Nicole.
Although the role was a perfect fit for the known prankster, Nicole went to great lengths to make sure she landed the gig, as seen in the first video with a cameo by Zomnir, Urban Decay's founding partner and chief creative officer.
"Nicole was at the top of our short list to become the new troublemaker," says Zomnir, "but after the stunts she pulled at UDHQ, I couldn't resist—the spot was hers. As they say, 'it takes one to know one…'"
Nicole filmed the videos in collaboration with her "Candidly Nicole" crew, including director Justin Coit. Funny or Die duo Hannah Levy and Adriana Robles wrote the scripts, and Nicole oversaw production while acting (out) in front of the camera, which included putting Troublemaker Mascara to the test.
Urban Decay and Nicole celebrated the new series last night in true troublemaking form with a private party at Hubble Studio in Los Angeles.
