Hensel Phelps Wins Three DBIA-Western Pacific Region 2017 Design-Build Awards

1. Northern California: The Hensel Phelps | HOK design-build team for the Mule Creek Infill Complex project was honored with a Merit Award for the excellent implementation of design-build techniques which exceeded the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation's expectations.
2. Southern California: The Hensel Phelps | RJC Architects design-build team for the Naval Facilities Engineering Commanded (NAVFAC) P229 Weapons Surveillance & Test Laboratory and Calibration Laboratory project was honored with a Merit Award for outstanding execution of design-build procedures allowing the project to surpass NAVFAC's expectations.
3. Southern California: The Hensel Phelps | Mithun design-build team for the University of California, Irvine (UCI) Mesa Court Student Housing Expansion project was honored with two awards — the Design Excellence Award for achieving UCI's overall aesthetic and functional vision though outstanding design and Regional Award for being a top design-build project submitted.

The three Hensel Phelps projects receiving awards are located in the Northern and Southern California Districts and represent three different market sectors: correctional, higher education and federal.

Including the three mentioned above, Hensel Phelps has received 41 DBIA awards.
