Henry Engleka Joins Porter Novelli as Senior Vice President, Global Health & Wellness
NEW YORK, June 10, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Global public relations leader Porter Novelli today announced that Henry Engleka has joined the company as a senior vice president in its Global Health & Wellness practice.
"Henry is an industry-recognized leader in health and wellness communications, having worked for more than 25 years on clients across the health-care spectrum, including pharmaceuticals, advocacy, hospitals, medical devices and health systems," said Karen van Bergen, CEO, Porter Novelli. "His years of experience, together with his expertise in using mobile applications to deliver health information, make him the perfect complement to our practice which is growing across all health sectors."
Prior to joining Porter Novelli, Engleka was CEO at P4 Strategy Group, a strategic health communications agency in New York City. He also had been co-founder of Zibbel Inc., which offers mobile health solutions to providers of health services (integrated delivery systems, pharmaceutical companies, employers, payors, etc.) as channels to consumer and physician end-users. Before that he spent nine years with Widmeyer Communications, ultimately serving as principal and managing director of the New York office. Earlier in his career he worked with The Mount Carmel Behavioral Health System as chief operating officer. Engleka is also the former assistant executive director of the American Psychological Association.
Engleka will report to Paul George, executive vice president and global director of Porter Novelli's Global Health & Wellness practice, and director of Porter Novelli New York's Health & Wellness practice. George joined Porter Novelli in January 2013. In addition, Mary Smiddy joined the company in May 2013 as UK practice director.
