Hennessy V.S And Pratt Graduate Students Bring Project Wild Rabbit To Art Basel
Design Challenge Enlists Artists to Manifest Inner Drive through Art
NEW YORK, Nov. 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Hennessy V.S, the world's best-selling Cognac, and graduate students from Pratt Institute, the renowned New York City-based college of art and design, today announced that Project Wild Rabbit will come to life for art connoisseurs during Miami's Art Basel on December 1, 2016. Now in its fifth year, the partnership between Hennessy and Pratt graduate students is grounded in an unwavering commitment to provide opportunities for the next generation of artistic talent. This year's challenge will enlist a selection of artists from multiple creative disciplines to create original artwork inspired by Hennessy's Wild Rabbit campaign and the Cognac brand's "Never stop. Never settle." mantra.
The Wild Rabbit, representative of the ever-evolving pursuit to push past the limits of one's potential, is what fuels those who "Never stop. Never settle." when it comes to achieving success. Since 2012, Hennessy V.S has brought the power and mystery of the Wild Rabbit to life through an integrated marketing campaign highlighting cultural icons including hip hop artist Nas, musicians and filmmakers. For Hennessy, the 250-plus-year pursuit of perfection in Cognac is the brand's own Wild Rabbit.
This year, a selection of Pratt graduate students will tell their own Wild Rabbit story through original artwork, which will be displayed on Hennessy's digital channels and thereby provide the artists with exposure through the company's platforms, before the artwork makes its way to Miami on December 1st. Leading up to Art Basel, each piece will be reviewed & judged by a panel of artistic luminaries that includes Pratt alumnus Kadir Nelson, and Hennessy limited edition artists Futura, among others. Consumers are invited to cast their votes for their favorite Wild Rabbit-inspired piece starting November 18 – November 28 by visiting Facebook.com/Hennessy – all participating consumers should be over 21.
Two finalists, one selected by the esteemed judging panel and one by popular vote, will accompany Hennessy to Art Basel to present their work at the Project Wild Rabbit Gallery. In addition to a once-in-a-lifetime platform to propel their careers through an experience at Miami's Art Basel, both winners will receive seed money to jumpstart their professional passion.
The Project Wild Rabbit winners will be officially announced at a private reception at The Market Gallery (1420 Alton Rd, Miami Beach, FL 33139) on December 1, 2016. Please visit www.hennessy.com for more information and Facebook.com/Hennessy from November 18 – November 28 to cast your vote for this year's Project Wild Rabbit winner.
