Hendrick Construction Completes Uptown Charlotte Restaurant
Rooster's Wood-Fired Kitchen Opens Second Location
CHARLOTTE, N.C., March 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Hendrick Construction, Inc. completed Rooster's Wood-Fired Kitchen in 1 Bank of America Center's Urban Garden. The new Uptown Charlotte restaurant is the second location for the popular SouthPark eatery.
The 5,000-square-foot restaurant features handsome and rustic architectural elements such as antique reclaimed barn wood, hand-forged iron and built-in wooden wine racks. Rooster's occupies two stories and is accessible from College Street on the first floor and the Urban Garden on the second floor.
"We think the Urban Garden, with its proximity to Center City's offices, hotels and entertainment venues, is the perfect spot for our second location," said Jim Noble, owner and chef. "We're looking forward to a great lunch crowd as well as a successful dinner business."
Rooster's Uptown is an alternative to higher-priced restaurants in the area. Its comfortable and casual atmosphere features warm wood finishes, communal seating and accent lighting.
"We're excited to partner with Jim Noble on another signature establishment that we're confident will become a Charlotte favorite," said Hendrick Construction President Roger Hendrick. "Building a restaurant in an occupied high-rise is always a challenging endeavor, but our talented team was able to get the job done."
Hendrick also built the Rooster's Wood-Fired Kitchen in SouthPark, as well as Noble's other Uptown restaurant: The King's Kitchen.
The architect for Rooster's Uptown was The Johnson Studio of Atlanta. The interior designer was Holly Carter Design of Aiken, S.C. Many of the design elements are similar to the original Rooster's location.
