DENVER, Nov. 20, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- From saving saigas in Mongolia to fighting cancer in dogs, Morris Animal Foundation is tackling the tough health issues facing animals around the world. On #GivingTuesday, November 28, animal lovers can help by making a gift to the Foundation to support its work.
A gift to Morris Animal Foundation funds animal health studies including:
- The ongoing impact of the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill on dolphins
- Pain management in arthritic cats
- Saving the Tasmanian devil and saiga antelope from extinction
- Helping horses survive colic
- New treatments for dogs with fatal cancers
- Preventing a fatal disease in cats
- And much more
On #GivingTuesday 2016, animal lovers donated $20,000 to Morris Animal Foundation. This year, the goal is $25,000 to help fund studies that will advance animal health. #GivingTuesday gifts also will be matched dollar for dollar by generous donors (up to $217,000) as part of the Foundation's end-of-year giving campaign.
"If you have a pet, your life has been impacted by health studies funded by Morris Animal Foundation," said Dr. John Reddington, President and CEO of Morris Animal Foundation. "We work every day to help ensure the animals we all love, in our homes and in the wild, have the healthiest lives possible. But we can't do it without the support of generous donors."
#GivingTuesday is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. The giving day kicks off the holiday giving season and inspires people to collaborate in improving their local, national and global communities and to give back in impactful ways to the charities and causes they support. Make your gift today at Morris Animal Foundation #GivingTuesday.
