HONOLULU, Aug. 2, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- On August 1, 2018, the Board of Directors of Hawaiian Electric Industries, Inc. (HEI) (NYSE: HE) maintained HEI's quarterly cash dividend of $0.31 cents per share, payable September 10, 2018, to shareholders of record at the close of business on August 21, 2018 (ex-dividend date of August 20, 2018). The dividend would be equivalent to an annual rate of $1.24 per share.
Dividends have been paid continuously since 1901. At the indicated annual dividend rate and based on the closing share price on August 1, 2018 of $34.93, HEI's dividend yield would be 3.5%.
