Heffernan Welcomes Kenneth Johnson as Vice President of San Francisco Office

SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Heffernan Insurance Brokers, one of the largest full-service, independent insurance brokerage firms in the United States, has hired Kenneth Johnson to join its San Francisco office.  As Vice President, Johnson will be responsible for developing and executing risk management programs for a variety of industries in Northern California, including technology, hospitality and construction.

Johnson joins Heffernan after 20 years of experience in risk management and insurance sales.  With extensive expertise in global commercial insurance solutions, Johnson has held key business development and client relationship roles with several leading brokerages during his career.  

Johnson's expertise is in mid-market and Fortune 1000 risk management business segments, as well as consultation on clients' international and self-funded placements. He was involved in the creation of a captive program for credit unions and managed a variety of franchisee group purchasing programs and other affinity programs.
