Heffernan Orange County Branch Hires Karen Albanese, Senior Vice President, Benefits

ORANGE COUNTY, Calif., Jan. 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Heffernan Insurance Brokers, one of the largest full-service, independent insurance brokerage firms in the United States, recently hired Karen Albanese to join its Orange County office as Senior Vice President, focusing on Benefits Strategy and Administration.  Albanese will work out of Heffernan's Los Angeles branch, expanding Heffernan's reach in Southern California (both LA and Orange County).

Albanese brings nearly 20 years of insurance experience to Heffernan, specializing in employee benefit risk management and population health improvement solutions.  Her career began at a major health insurance company, where she developed products and networks.  For the last 15 years, Albanese has worked at two of the world's largest insurance brokerages, managing benefit programs for employers of all sizes.  Her emphasis is on working directly with employers and providers to ensure the most cost effective and innovative benefit offerings. 

Albanese is a graduate of Scripps College in Claremont, CA, and earned her MBA from the University of Southern California.
