Heffernan Fields 2nd Largest Avon Breast Cancer Walk Team

SAN FRANCISCO, July 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Heffernan Group sent a team of 42 women to participate in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer on July 9 and 10, 2011 in San Francisco.

Second largest in size and fundraising in the San Francisco area, the group (called "Team Ta Ta Sisterhood" and made up of friends, family and staff from Heffernan Group) raised $87,194 for the cause.  The women walked 39.3 miles over the two days of the event.  

Michelle Lonaker, Director of Corporate Philanthropy for Heffernan and a walk participant, said, "I could not be more proud of the team, their dedication to the cause, and their efforts in training and fundraising.  And as always, we were grateful for all the support we received from our family at Heffernan."
