"HEdonism" Move Over...Van Gogh BLUE Vodka Introduces "SHEdonism"
NEW YORK, June 29, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- From the new movie, "Bridesmaids" to the iconic television series "Sex In The City," "Girls Night Out" is cemented in American pop culture vernacular. Tupperware parties and Avon lady gatherings have morphed into socializing just for the sake of socializing. Men have long had their fun at sports bars and poker games, now the women are staking their right to party too. Women are getting together in droves with friends for a few cocktails and a lot of dish. Ever wonder what the girls are chatting about amongst themselves? The secrets they'd never, ever tell their guys? This is the first, in a series of insights from those gals, who enjoy life, let their inhibitions go and live by the credo, "You, Unbottled."
Van Gogh BLUE Vodka, the brand that appeals to women for its free-thinking, unpretentious and fun style, has the goods. Here's a glimpse of the gals, unbottled, so to speak.
It's all about the money. The secret most women would likely tell a girlfriend that they'd never admit to the men in their lives is "the most they've ever paid for a handbag, accessory or new outfit" at 54%. The truth about their free-spending style is even closely guarded by women living with their lovers who haven't actually tied the knot (76%).
What else is on the list of things they'd never tell their guys? Glad you asked.
- Weight watchers: 44% of women say it's their actual weight;
- 42% of women say only their BFFs know for sure the actual color of their hair;
- 37% would confess the true number of guys with whom they'd hooked up, and it's really a secret for those who are just living as married at 55%.
- 37% would only tell their girls they really can't stand his family – that secret's almost double for those who live together but still haven't taken their vows (63%).
- 34% say only their posses know they've stayed in touch with – or at least are still pining for -- a former flame; 60% of singles and 51% of those just living as married but not the real-deal.
- One in four (24%) say they'd admit to spying on his "ex" on Facebook or Twitter; double that for singles (50%).
- One in five (22%) say they'd let a girlfriend know if they were gold-digging (dating a guy just for his wallet or his social status).
- Planned the perfect wedding although they're still single? 41% of all single gals – and 48% of those living as married – say they'd tell all the details to their girlfriends even though they'd never clue in the groom-to-be. Probably a smart choice.
Known for pioneering and defining the flavored vodka category with innovative "firsts" such as the exotic Acai-Blueberry and Double Espresso® vodkas, Van Gogh BLUE Triple Wheat Vodka again broke the mold as the world's first vodka produced from three international wheat sources (central France, southern Germany and Zeeland in Holland). BLUE is also proof positive that top quality, ultra-premium vodka doesn't have to come at an ultra-premium price.
Hand-crafted in Schiedam, Holland at the 130-year-old Royal Dirkzwager Distilleries by second generation Master Distiller Tim Vos, Van Gogh BLUE is a triple distilled, triple wheat vodka with an exceptionally polished taste. Smooth with a neutral flavor full of subtle nuances from the three European grains, BLUE has no burn and delivers a dry and refined finish that both vodka enthusiasts and cocktailians alike will appreciate.
