Managed services leaders were selected based on criteria such as company profits and growth, industry participation and recognition across the managed services, software-as-a-service (SaaS), and cloud markets. Due to the number of submissions, MSPmentor allowed only three employees per company to be named on its list. HTG founder Arlin Sorensen has been recognized on the list since its inception in 2008 and this is the second year in a row Christy Sacco has been included.
The report credits CEO Arlin Sorensen with driving HTG beyond The HTG Way of demonstrating a culture and spirit of sharing, networking and mentoring, and personal growth and perspective for the IT industry. Sorensen is commended for his focus on expanding business improvement, growth and Peer Group initiatives. The report says Arlin Sorensen is "perhaps the best-known Peer Group leader in the managed services industry," and praised his global efforts building HTG peer user groups which now extends its reach beyond North America to include Australia and the United Kingdom.
In addition to the three members of the HTG leadership team, 13 of those recognized on the 2010 list are managed service providers who are longstanding HTG Peer Group members. Included was, Dave Sobel, Member of HTG5 and CEO of Evolve Technologies, who has also been recognized on the list for the past three years.
“It is an honor for the HTG team to be selected and recognized amongst the elite in the industry,” said Arlin Sorensen. “The HTG team, and the HTG members listed, make a conscious effort to give back, and it is our hope that the managed services community is strengthened by our efforts,” Sorensen added. “We are especially proud of the HTG members honored in 2010.”
