Healthy Paws Foundation Partners With Pawsitive Alliance To Get Homeless Pets Adopted
Healthy Paws Fully Funds #WhyNotMePets Campaign for 2017
SEATTLE, Feb. 15, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Healthy Paws Foundation is proud to announce their partnership with Pawsitive Alliance, a nonprofit organization dedicated to help end the euthanasia of adoptable dogs and cats in Washington state. Healthy Paws has fully funded the organization's #WhyNotMePets campaign for 2017 with a $25,000 grant from the Healthy Paws Foundation's Every Quote Gives Hope initiative.
The #WhyNotMePets program focuses on difficult-to-home pets; whether they are senior, overweight, long-stay shelter residents or one of the "restricted" breeds, these animals need extra help in finding their forever home. Healthy Paws will collaborate with Pawsitive Alliance, contributing to adoption efforts through press outreach and targeted social media posts, as well as featuring bios for adoptable pets on the Healthy Paws website.
"I believe this program can have a positive impact on getting adoption-challenged pets into homes," says Healthy Paws Foundation co-founder and CEO Steve Siadek. "If we can find homes for these animals more quickly, it frees up resources to adopt out even more homeless pets."
"There are many pets who have so much love to give, and they just need a little more exposure to find the right family," says Amy Ferguson, Executive Director of Pawsitive Alliance. "We have one pup, Leroy, who has never had a permanent home. At nine years old, he's Washington's longest shelter resident. While he's receiving lots of love and care as a foster, he really deserves a home of his own," Ferguson explains.
