The promotion of Gagne from executive vice president to COO follows seven years of established success in the account management side of the company. "Brian's track record of success within account management, and his demonstrated leadership within our organization make him the perfect person to be the next HealthFitness COO," explains HealthFitness President and CEO Paul Lotharius.
Gagne has more than 20 years of experience in wellness and fitness management, including experience designing integrated behavioral solutions and patient education programs. Gagne received a master's degree in exercise physiology and a bachelor's degree in exercise science from the University of Illinois.
Katz joins HealthFitness from Health Care Services Corporation (HCSC), where he served as enterprise technology strategist. Prior to working at HCSC, Katz was CIO at Destiny Health, responsible for establishing a technology support team and integrating all technology platforms with their international parent company and aligning to their overall corporate strategies. Sean received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa.
"Sean's hiring is a vital step in our promise to continue to invest in technology," says Lotharius. "Sean will oversee the IT Department as we grow and continue to provide our customers with best-in-class programs and services."
Additionally, Greg Siedschlag is promoted to vice president of finance. "This is a result of Greg's proven capabilities as a controller for the company," says Lotharius. Siedschlag received his bachelor degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and has 28 years of experience in a variety of accounting and controller roles at several companies, including 11 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
The company also announced the formation of a dedicated product management team to oversee the life cycle of the company's programs and services. This team will continue to assess integrated employee health and productivity management solutions, evaluate industry trends, and seek out new capabilities and innovative methods of addressing client needs. The team will be led by Sean McManany, formerly vice president of product development and marketing at CoreSource, and Mark Totts, formerly vice president of product development at The Trustmark Companies (Employer Medical Division).
