Purchase Marks Fifth Acquisition in Two Years for Largest Independent PERS Provider
BALA CYNWYD, Pa., July 7, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Connect America, the largest independent provider of Personal Emergency Response Systems (PERS) in North America, has acquired Wichita-based Home Buddy, LLC, one of the largest providers of medical alert and medication dispensing systems in the state of Kansas. Home Buddy will continue to operate from its current location. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The Healthcare Division of Connect America markets its medical alert and mobile alert products to home healthcare agencies, Medicaid agencies, hospitals, drugstore chains, and managed care organizations throughout the country. Subscribers can choose from Connect America's standard landline PERS system, a Cellular system that needs no landline, or a Mobile/GPS-based system that protects users at home or on the go. The division also offers a comprehensive continuing care solution, including Telehealth services, remote patient monitoring, and medication dispensing systems.
