Analyst Update: Financial & Operational Results
U.S. stocks mostly drifted between modest gains and losses on Friday, May 15, 2015 as investors remained cautious over weaker than expected economic data. The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 0.11%, to finish at 18,272.56, the S&P 500 rose 0.08%, to 2,122.73, and the NASDAQ Composite ended the day at 5,048.29, down 0.05%. European stocks closed lower on Friday amid rise in the value of euro against dollar. Germany’s DAX 30 lost 0.98%, France’s CAC 40 fell 0.71%, and London's FTSE 100 closed 0.18% lower on Friday. Meanwhile, Asian markets painted a mixed picture on Friday. The Shanghai Composite fell as expectation of Chinese stimulus measures cooled, while Hong Kong's Hang Seng and Japan's Nikkei gained on Friday.
On May 11, 2015, PhotoMedex, Inc. announced its financial results for the quarter ended March 31, 2015. Revenues for Q1 2015 were $28.1 million, down by 44% from $50.1 million reported in comparable quarter of prior year.
In a press release dated May 12, 2015, Civitas Solutions, Inc. reported financial results for the fiscal second quarter ended March 31, 2015. The Company reported net revenue as $335.2 million, an increase of $28.8 million, or 9.4%, on Y-o-Y basis.
On May 7, 2015, LightPath Technologies, Inc. announced its financial results for the fiscal 2015 third quarter ended March 31, 2015. The Company reported revenues of c.$3.2 million, an increase of 6% compared to c.$3.0 million for the same quarter previous year, driven by an increase in sales of specialty products and an increase in sales of infrared products.
On April 14, 2015, China Ceramics Co., Ltd., announced quarterly financial results for period ended December 31, 2014. Revenues for the quarter were RMB 240.1 million (US$38.7 million), up 9.0% on Y-o-Y basis from RMB 220.3 million in the prior year comparable period, driven by an 8.7% increase in average selling price and modestly higher sales volume.
On May 11, 2015, UCP, Inc. announced its financial results for quarter ended March 31, 2015. The Company’s total consolidated revenues including homebuilding, land development and other revenues, for Q1 2015 were $43.5 million, up 69.9%, majorly driven by higher number of homes delivered.
