SHANGHAI, April 18, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Health ingredients China (Hi China), organised by UBM, is one of China's most significant trade gatherings for ingredients suppliers, distributors and buyers from the food, health, and nutraceutical industries. Having been serving the Chinese market for 17 years, the event is regarded as a gateway to China and Asia markets for foreign industry players.
This year, Hi China will take place from 21-23 June in Shanghai, China to provide multiple opportunities to discover the Chinese and Pan-Asian product innovations, market trends and industry regulations. It will also be co-located with six other events, namely Fi Asia-China, Healthplex and Nutraceutical China, Starch Expo, Expo FoodTec, FPF Expo and CPhI & P-Mec China. Together the shows will cover around 200,000 sqm of exhibition floor, hosting 3500+ exhibitors and more than 70,000 trade visitors from around the world.
From "Fi Asia-China" to "Hi China"
To keep up with the evolving market and an increased number of health ingredients exhibitors, the event is now being led by the Health ingredients brand (Hi China) while featuring the Food ingredients Asia-China (FiAC) as its sister event.
With improving living standards in Asia, consumers are paying more attention to what they eat, which has led to an increase in the demand for nutraceuticals, dietary supplements and functional foods. This in turn contributes to a rapid growth in the health ingredients market.
According to China Food Newspaper, China's import market for nutraceuticals has reached 1.2 billion dollars. For example, China contributes 40% to the revenue of Blackmores, the largest nutraceutical brand in Australia. Some experts predict that the Chinese health industry will expand by 25% annually. Recognising this large predicted growth in the Chinese market, the event organiser decided to shift their focus from FiAC to their health ingredients brand Hi China.
Hi China 2016 will be held alongside Healthplex and Nutraceutical China and CPhI China, two of the largest events in the nutraceutical and pharma industry. Across the different shows the organiser aims to connect the entire health industry chain to perfectly embody the concept of health.
Top exhibitors that will be ready to do business and showcase their latest products and innovations include leading companies Enzymotec, Naturex, GNT, INGREDIA, Genmont, Hleks, Health Love, BIOSEARCH and many more.
