COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., Nov. 8, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- HDI, the premier membership association and certification body for the technical support industry, today announces a new Chapter's First strategy that will pave the way to a more focused, connected, and member-oriented tech support organization.

More than 60 HDI local chapters throughout the U.S. and Canada provide the backbone of HDI's membership community. With regular opportunities for technical support professionals to connect, share and discuss common challenges, and learn from industry innovators, HDI's network of local chapters is a convenient and dynamic way to collaborate with like-minded professionals.
While always a critical component of the HDI community, the local chapter leadership structure created challenges in solidifying and executing a unified strategy. HDI's new Chapter's First strategy aims to update and streamline the organizational structure of the local chapter leadership and align with today's focus on high touch, personalized customer experiences. With the help of the Board of Directors of Help Desk Chapters, Inc. (HDC) – a non-profit corporation that partners with HDI to administer its local chapters – it was determined that a more focused and supportive approach to managing the local chapters was necessary to improve the member experience. As a result, HDI is evolving to a single national leadership structure where a team of elected National Officers will collaborate with both HDI Local Chapter Officers and the HDC Board of Directors to ensure a consistent, sustainable, and empowering experience for HDI members.

"I have no doubt Chapter's First will manifest itself in a more logical, connected organizational framework for HDI's membership community," says Mary Cruse, Chair of the Help Desk Chapters, Inc.
