hCentive Selected by Arkansas to Implement Its State Health Insurance Marketplace for Small Businesses for the 2016 Plan Year

RESTON, Va., May 13, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- hCentive, the leader in health insurance exchange solutions, was selected by the Arkansas Health Insurance Marketplace (AHIM) Board of Directors as the prime vendor to implement the state's Small Business Health Options Program (SHOP). AHIM's SHOP will create a transparent and accountable health insurance marketplace for small businesses and their employees in Arkansas. hCentive has also opened an office in Little Rock, hiring local staff and providing internship opportunities to Arkansas' future workforce.

Highlights:

• hCentive will implement its cloud-based solution, WebInsure™ State Exchange, for AHIM's SHOP, offering easy-to-use portals for AHIM to provide health insurance plan options and enrollment capabilities to Arkansas employers and employees, while supporting the brokers and carriers that will deliver the plans and service to Arkansans.
• The solution uses the same technology that powers the Federally Facilitated Marketplace (FFM) SHOP being used in 33 states, which is integrated with the federal data services hub and contains the tools AHIM needs to support enrollments, plan management, financial management, noticing, reporting and more. 
• By implementing hCentive technology, which has already been tested by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), and utilizing hCentive's proprietary WebInsure™ Project Management Methodology and FFM Data Migration Toolkit, AHIM aims to ensure a smooth transition from the FFM to its state marketplace for SHOP with minimal risk, disruption and cost.
• hCentive will also provide awareness and education via town hall sessions and onsite training, helping to ensure community knowledge and assist with small business employer outreach.
