HONOLULU, Oct. 31, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- In collaboration with Associa corporate offices, Hawaii First, an Associa company announces the unification of both their Hawaii companies to work under one name, Associa Hawaii in mid to late 2015. To further show their local commitment, Associa announces the appointment of their new corporate Hawaii Regional Vice President, Richard Emery beginning January 1, 2015.
Currently President and Principal Broker of Hawaii First, Richard Emery has been serving communities in Hawaii for over 23 years with expertise in this highly specialized field. He holds the Community Associations Institute (CAI) designation of Professional Reserve Specialist®, one of approximately 150 in the U.S. He has been with Hawaii First since May 1996. Emery prepares long-term financial plans for various associations throughout Hawaii. He is one of only 40 in the U.S. to hold the CAI designation of Professional Reserve Analyst®. Along with managing operations of Hawaii First, Emery's professional duties also include: Board of Directors, Hawaii Council of Community Associations (HCCA); and Foreclosure commissioner, court-appointed commissioner for commercial or large-scale residential properties. Recently completed foreclosures: Lotus Hotel, Bay View Golf Park, and Hotel Wailea.
Emery has had a long history volunteering with many business and community organizations including: past president and 25-year member of the Rotary Club of Metropolitan Honolulu; past president and member of Sales and Marketing Executives International, Inc. (SMEI), Honolulu Affiliate; and Finance Chairman and Director for Damien Memorial School. Additionally, he serves on the Board of Directors for Family Programs Hawaii.
