HavenHouse St. Louis/Family Centered Care Named a Mutual of America 2011 Community Partnership Award Winner

NEW YORK, Nov. 17, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Mutual of America announced today that HavenHouse St. Louis/Family Centered Care was named a Merit Finalist of the 2011 Community Partnership Award competition.

HavenHouse St. Louis/Family Centered Care provides lodging, care and support for lower-income patients and families traveling more than 25 miles to St. Louis for medical care. For a small fee per night, families receive a private room, two home-cooked meals a day, transportation to and from area hospitals and other vital services. HavenHouse also helps patients coming to St. Louis for longer-term medical treatment. HavenHouse's partners include YouthBridge Community Foundation, local hospitals and medical centers, and various businesses and organizations.
