Harvard Business Review Wins Digiday Publishing Award for Redesigned HBR.org
BOSTON, March 20, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Harvard Business Review has won the Digiday Publishing Award for best publishing site design. The honor was presented to HBR and digital agency Huge, which designed the new HBR.org, at the Digiday Publishing Awards Gala in New York last night.
Harvard Business Review and Huge beat out Bloomberg and Code and Theory, Guardian News & Media, OZY, and Quartz for the award, which recognizes the best use of design by a publisher to display content, advertising, and content marketing to users across multiple platforms.
The redesigned HBR.org launched in November 2014 with the goal of making it easier for readers to access the best and most relevant ideas from Harvard Business Review and use them to help transform the way they work.
In addition to offering a clean and focused reading experience across all devices and formats, the revamped HBR.org provides a personal library where users can save articles and graphics, create reading lists, and share those lists with others. Readers can also follow nearly 200 topics and receive a feed of everything new and archival on those subjects.
The Digiday Publishing Award win follows several key achievements for Harvard Business Review, including an all-time record high paid circulation of 285,500 (includes digital non-replica); a National Magazine Award finalist nomination for General Excellence; and Folio Awards for best single issue and best article, "How Netflix Reinvented HR."
The site redesign marked the first phase in an ongoing digital transformation at HBR, which has a growing online audience of 4 million monthly unique visitors and over 5 million social followers. Harvard Business Review is the largest branded group on LinkedIn and also boasts the highest social shares per story among top business publishers.
