Hartville Group's Half-Marathon Team Raises $15,550 for the ASPCA
Six runners compete in Dodge Rock 'n' Roll Los Angeles Half-Marathon with Team ASPCA
CANTON, Ohio, Dec. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- One of the nation's leading pet insurance providers, the Hartville Group, Inc., together with its subsidiary Petsmarketing Insurance.com Agency, Inc., organized a team to participate in the 2011 Dodge Rock 'n' Roll Los Angeles Half-Marathon on October 30 with Team ASPCA, raising $15,550 for the ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®).
As the ASPCA's only strategic partner for pet insurance since 2006, Hartville joined Team ASPCA in the inaugural year of the program with a team of six runners, dedicated to helping the ASPCA reach its fundraising goals. As part of its strategic relationship with the ASPCA, Hartville provides ASPCA Pet Health Insurance through its Petsmarketing subsidiary.
Team ASPCA is the ASPCA's new national endurance training and fundraising program dedicated to engaging animal advocates around the country to walk, run or cycle to help the ASPCA provide life-saving programs and services to millions of animals in need nationwide. Members of Team ASPCA participate in world-renowned marathons, half-marathons, cycling and other major endurance events across the country to raise funds while supporting the ASPCA's mission and raising awareness of the ASPCA.
"Our team, our employees and our company all contributed to this effort, and we're really excited to help the ASPCA in this unique way," said Hartville CEO Dennis Rushovich. "Our pet insurance is designed to support the ASPCA's mission by helping pet parents afford quality veterinary care for their pets, and our licensing relationship delivers a minimum of $1.95 million in royalties to the ASPCA over at least three years. We're glad to contribute to our friends at the ASPCA in even more ways as well."
"We appreciate the hard work from the Hartville Group's team to help us raise money to help animals across the country," said Elysia Howard, vice president of marketing and licensing for the ASPCA. "It means a lot to us to have the support of our corporate partners in this new project."
