Harrison At Reston Town Center Holds Grand Opening
RESTON, Va., March 20, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Just weeks before his 101st birthday, Reston (VA) founder Robert E. Simon, Jr. cut the ribbon for a new luxury apartment community, Harrison at Reston Town Center, calling it "phenomenal."
Many of the hundreds who attended The Harrison's grand opening weekend agreed; The Harrison boasts the most expansive array of resort-style amenities of any rental property in the area.
Following the ribbon cutting ceremony, which also featured Fairfax County Supervisor Cathy Hudgins (D-Hunter Mill), visitors toured The Harrison's 28,000 square feet of amenity space including the indoor pool, Culinary Center, Health and Fitness Center, Executive Business Center, expansive Gaming and Entertainment Center, and Rooftop SkyClub with virtual golf. Also on view were three beautifully furnished model apartments, visitor guest suite, and a spectacular penthouse apartment with a wrap-around terrace with 360-degree views.
"We expect The Harrison to appeal to a wide range of people who want to live life to the fullest," said Albert H. Small, Jr. of Renaissance Centro at the ribbon cutting ceremony. "We look forward to seeing kids' birthday parties in our indoor pool...retired military personnel using our Executive Business Center for cybersecurity consulting...young people learning how to cook from top area chefs in our Culinary Center...and our residents' four-legged friends enjoying our pet spa. Harrison at Reston Town Center combines the personal services and amenities of a great resort hotel with luxurious, spacious apartments – it's not just a home, it's a lifestyle." The Harrison is already 30 percent leased and residents have started moving in.
During the weekend-long grand opening festivities, visitors participated in a variety of special activities, including culinary and mixology demonstrations by leading area chefs and bartenders and fitness classes. In the Culinary Center, Nate Waugaman, head chef of Jose Andres' America Eats Tavern, showed guests how to prepare jambalaya; M&S Grill Chef Stephen Bieker created seared ahi tuna pops; and bartenders from Jacksons in Reston Town Center prepared signature cocktails. Ferraiolo Fitness Instructors conducted a spin class and a high-intensity P90X® workout in The Harrison's state-of-the-art Health and Fitness Center.
The Harrison is the latest project of Renaissance Centro, developer of the two other multi-family communities across Reston Parkway from Reston Town Center: Stratford House and Carlton House. For more information, visit www.liveharrisonapts.com.
