Harris Appoints New Regional President in Libertyville-Buffalo Grove Area
Industry veteran to guide bank's growth efforts in northern suburbs
CHICAGO, Jan. 5, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Harris today announced the appointment of Chris Michalski to lead its retail banking efforts in the Libertyville-Buffalo Grove region. In addition to the Libertyville and Buffalo Grove markets, Michalski is responsible for branches in communities including Gurnee, Lake Villa, Mundelein, Northbrook, Round Lake, Wheeling and Waukegan.
A 20-year banking veteran, Michalski joins Harris from Wells Fargo Financial, having most recently served as a Vice President and Regional Manager with responsibility for 72 branches spanning six states. He began his career with Wells Fargo as a Credit Manager in 1991 and rose through the ranks to hold numerous positions with increasing responsibility.
In his new role, Michalski will lead local retail banking strategies and services for Harris, focusing on driving revenue and new household growth through coaching a team of nearly 100 employees across 11 branches to enhance their delivery of an exceptional customer experience.

Chris earned an undergraduate degree in finance from Northern Illinois University and completed the American Financial Services Association's Management Development Program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
