HarperCollins Joins Forces With Midwest Tape To Expand Library Collection
NEW YORK, Nov. 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Midwest Tape, a library-focused distribution company, and HarperCollins Publishers today announced a strategic library distribution agreement to commence immediately.
The non-exclusive agreement enables Midwest Tape to distribute the majority of HarperCollins Publishers front list audiobook titles to libraries. A key component of the deal calls for Midwest Tape to manufacture CD editions of HarperCollins Publishers audiobooks that potentially may have only been available as digital editions.
"We are very excited to work with Midwest Tape to expand physical audio distribution for our authors," said Sean McManus, Director of Audio of HarperCollins Publishers.
"This agreement aligns with our commitment to make available as many audiobook titles as possible to libraries quickly and in the formats they need for their patrons," said Jeff Jankowski, cofounder and Vice President of Midwest Tape. "We are thrilled to partner with HarperCollins Publishers to enable us to provide library access to their excellent audiobook titles."
Both HarperCollins Publishers and Midwest Tape are excited for the opportunity to put more audiobooks in the ears of library listeners.
