Hanon Systems to Support Kia Motors with New Plant in Mexico

DAEJEON, Korea, Oct. 29, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Hanon Systems (KS:018880), a leading global provider of thermal solutions, plans to start production at a new plant in Monterrey, Mexico, to support the company's growth strategy in support of global vehicle manufacturers.

The new manufacturing facility in Monterrey, Climate Systems Mexicana, S.A. de C.V., is located in the northeastern state of Nuevo Leono, and will manufacture heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) units and cooling modules for various new Kia models.

The facility has nearly 8,300 square meters (approximately 89,000 square feet) of manufacturing space that incorporates standardized global manufacturing and business processes, and has room for expansion to address future business needs.

With the addition of the Monterrey facility, Hanon Systems has six wholly-owned manufacturing operations in Mexico – four in Ciudad Juarez, in northern Mexico; and one in Queretaro, central Mexico, which began production in September 2014.

Production in Monterrey is scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2016.
