HOUSTON, Dec. 11, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Hannah Gelbs has been promoted to chief operating officer (COO) at Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center Hospital from her existing role as associate administrator at West Houston Medical Center. Both facilities are part of the HCA Healthcare's Gulf Coast Division family of hospitals.
During her tenure at West Houston Medical Center, Gelbs was responsible for operations and executive level leadership of the emergency department, trauma services, radiology services, cardiopulmonary department and breast center. She was instrumental in increasing efficiencies in the emergency department, including a 42-point increase in patient satisfaction.

Gelbs earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting and finance from Texas A&M University before going on to receive a master's degree in health care administration from Trinity University. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and active in the community through the Junior League of Houston. She was also HCA Healthcare's Gulf Coast Division winner and a national qualifier for the Innovators Award in 2016.
