Handelsblatt is Temporarily Moving to Washington

DUESSELDORF, Germany and WASHINGTON DC, October 27, 2016 /PRNewswire/ --

Handelsblatt, Germany's leading financial daily, is temporarily moving its editorial headquarters to Washington in November to cover the U.S. Presidential Election.

From Tuesday, November 1 through Thursday, November 10, our publisher Gabor Steingart, together with more than 35 top journalists from Germany, will be covering the momentous last phase of the campaign from the U.S. capital.

Each day, we will hold a reception and talks with high-level representatives from the world of business, politics, banking and media to discuss the election and its impact on transatlantic relations and the global economy.

Among the guests will be Robert Zoellick, former United States Deputy Secretary of State and U.S. Trade Representative, Dr. Peter Wittig, Germany's Ambassador to the United States, Robert M. Kimmitt, former United States Deputy Secretary of the Treasury, John Engler, former Governor of Michigan, Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg, former Federal Minister for Economics and former Minister of Defence of Germany, as well as renowned Wall Street Reporter Markus Koch. The talks will be followed each evening by snacks and drinks.
