Hammacher Schlemmer Introduces The World's First 3D Printing Pen
NEW YORK, Aug. 12, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Continuing its 166-year history of offering the Best, the Only and the Unexpected, Hammacher Schlemmer introduces The World's First 3D Printing Pen, the only pen that creates three-dimensional figures.
The pen "writes" with warm thermoplastic "ink" that hardens in seconds, allowing users to create 3D freehand drawings in bright colors using two extrusion speeds that provide thicker or thinner "lines".
"Since the plastic hardens quickly, you can draw in the air to create a bird's outstretched wings," explained Hammacher Schlemmer's General Manager Fred Berns. "You can also download blueprints of a 6"-tall Eiffel Tower or Istanbul's Sultan Ahmed Mosque."
Other designs include connecting two faces of a cube or creating a napkin holder.
The World's First 3D Printing Pen is available from Hammacher Schlemmer for $99.95. For more information about this product, please visit The World's First 3D Printing Pen, or contact Trish Hammond at (847) 581-8987 or via e-mail at [email protected].
