Hammacher Schlemmer Introduces The Self Propelled Wheelbarrow
NEW YORK, May 23, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Continuing its 169-year history of offering the Best, the Only and the Unexpected, Hammacher Schlemmer introduces The Self Propelled Wheelbarrow, a battery-powered wheelbarrow strong enough to haul 220 lbs. of soil, mulch, or firewood.
Its cordless design provides effortless transport using a Lithium battery-powered motor operated by a convenient handlebar throttle. Additional controls on the unit enable one to select a speed (2 mph or 4 mph) and choose a direction (forward or backward).
"Beautifying one's yard is a popular and self-rewarding summertime hobby," explained Hammacher Schlemmer's General Manager Nick DiMarco. "This power-driven wheelbarrow helps eliminate the labor of landscaping and enables green thumbs to dedicate their energy on enhancing their lawns and gardens."
The electric wheelbarrow resists damage from sun, rain, and landscaping tools with a steel alloy frame and PVC cargo bed. Its front 8"-diam. pneumatic wheels feature molded rubber treads that provide optimal traction on lawns and pathways and its rear 10"-diam caster wheel provides additional support and balance. Its 4' cu. cargo bed unloads with a simple manual lever.
The Self Propelled Wheelbarrow is available from Hammacher Schlemmer for $499.95. For more information about The Self Propelled Wheelbarrow, please contact Trish Hammond at (847) 581-8987 or via e-mail at [email protected].
