Hammacher Schlemmer Introduces The Personal Soup Chef.
NEW YORK, Sept. 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Continuing its 163-year history of offering the Best, the Only and the Unexpected, Hammacher Schlemmer introduces The Personal Soup Chef, a device that automatically chops vegetables and simmers broth to make homemade soup with minimal human intervention.
Food processing blades inside The Personal Soup Chef's glass pitcher chop or stir ingredients while an internal heating element sautes vegetable and cooks the soup.
"The Personal Soup Chef prepares all aspects of homemade soup inside the cooking chamber, eliminating the need to dirty knives, cutting boards, or multiple pots," explained Fred Berns, Hammacher Schlemmer's General Manager.
The Personal Soup Chef automatically maintains the preselected temperature between 150 degrees F and 200 degrees F to gently simmer or rapidly boil soup and the food processing blades can chop or puree vegetables to make a rustic minestrone or a silky tomato veloute.
The device makes up to 1 1/2 quarts of soup, it has a 30-minute digital timer, and its lid and pitcher are dishwasher safe.
The Personal Soup Chef is available from Hammacher Schlemmer for $199.95. For more information about this product, please visit www.hammacher.com/81610 or contact Trish Hammond at (847) 581-8987 or via e-mail at [email protected] .
