Hammacher Schlemmer Introduces The Flying All Terrain Vehicle
NEW YORK, Sept. 21, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Continuing its 169-year history of offering the Best, the Only and the Unexpected, Hammacher Schlemmer introduces The Flying All Terrain Vehicle, an FAA-certified special light-sport aircraft fused within a rugged military-grade all-terrain vehicle.
"We believe in helping our customers embrace their larger than life ambitions," explained Hammacher Schlemmer's General Manager Nick DiMarco. "This unique vehicle enables one to conquer every terrain on Earth and even defy gravity."
Constructed from steel and carbon fiber composites, it is the first aircraft of its kind approved with ground and flight engines. Its 89-hp two-cylinder engine provides a top speed of 75 mph on land while its double wishbone suspension provides optimal chassis control for maneuvering pathways at high speeds with precision. Requiring only a 500' runway whether on a secluded beach or open field, its 115-hp (160-hp optional) four-cylinder flight engine and four-bladed propeller grants a maximum airspeed of 45 mph restricted to a ceiling of 10,000' MSL.
Its intuitive flight system includes a throttle quadrant for climbing and descending and retractable foot pedals for turning left or right and landing. Its 38'-wide para-wing conveniently stows when driving and unpacks in minutes for flight.
The Flying All Terrain Vehicle is available from Hammacher Schlemmer for $139,000. For more information about The Flying All Terrain Vehicle, please contact Trish Hammond at (847) 581-8987 or via e-mail at [email protected].
