Hamilton Sundstrand receives Bombardier's 2012 In-Service STAR Award for excellence in customer service

LONDON, July 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- FARNBOROUGH AIR SHOW -- Hamilton Sundstrand Corporation, a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX), was recently recognized by Bombardier with a 2012 In-Service Supplier Top Achievement Recognition (STAR) Award for its in-service support of Bombardier's Q400* aircraft program.

Hamilton Sundstrand was among three suppliers recognized for superior support to Bombardier's Q400 turboprop customers at the 2012 All Series Operators Conference and Trade Show in Orlando, Florida. Hamilton Sundstrand was selected for the In-Service STAR Award for the Q400 aircraft program based on its performance over the past year.

Bombardier In-Service STAR Awards are awarded to suppliers for excellence in customer support based on overall performance in 2011. To be eligible for this award, a supplier must have scored at least 85 percent in areas deemed most important by Bombardier's customers. Measures include in-service performance relative to product performance, including reliability and cost, airline support focused on logistics support, and customer focus.
