Hamilton Sundstrand Extends On-Site Support Agreement with British Airways
FARNBOROUGH, England, July 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Hamilton Sundstrand, a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX), has extended its On-Site Support agreement with British Airways covering electric power system and pneumatic system products on the airline's fleet of more than 235 large commercial aircraft including Boeing 737, 747-400, 767, and 777, and Airbus A319, A320 and A321.
The seven-year extension of the current program, which began in 2002, will commence in 2012 with work performed at British Airways Component Engineering, Hayes Middlesex, United Kingdom.
The contract includes guaranteed parts availability, a Hamilton Sundstrand technical advisor on site, and guaranteed product reliability.
Hamilton Sundstrand will supply parts to support British Airways' maintenance of electric power system components including generators and integrated drive generators, and pneumatic system components including valves, starters and air cycle machines – a total of 33 line-replaceable units.
