Hamilton Lane Executive Named to Board of Florida Venture Forum
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Nov. 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Hamilton Lane, an independent financial institution that provides discretionary and non-discretionary private equity asset management services to sophisticated investors, today announced that Greg Baty, Vice President, has been named to the Board of the Florida Venture Forum.
The Forum, which is based in Tampa, is designed to help ensure the success of entrepreneurial ventures by offering expert counsel, educational advice and managerial assistance, and provides programs on a statewide basis attended by venture capitalists, investors, bankers, corporate executives, accountants, lawyers and entrepreneurs.

Baty is a Vice President and is primarily focused on the activities of the firm's Florida Growth Fund. Prior to joining Hamilton Lane in 2009, he held investment positions within the private equity marketplace and has had previous experience with venture finance at Sand Hill Capital and Garage.com (Garage Technology Ventures). Baty also brings an operational background with him to Hamilton Lane having owned and operated multi-unit branded retail franchises along with his operational roles in technology startups.
Baty also spent nine years as a professional football player in the National Football League. He was drafted by the New England Patriots and finished his career with the Miami Dolphins.
He received his bachelor's degree from Stanford University and a master's in science of management degree from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
