CleanEquity Monaco, the forum for emerging cleantech companies closed Friday 4 March with the CleanEquity Awards Ceremony presided over by H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco. The annual invitation-only event hosted 34 next-generation companies from four continents, presenting to an audience of over 250 delegates, comprising specialist financial and strategic investors, policy makers, end-users and international trade and technical media. An expert panel of judges selects winners in various categories, which are announced at the CleanEquity Awards ceremony presided over by H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco.
HaloIPT's unique wireless charging technology is the only market-ready solution that allows any electric vehicle to charge automatically. The wireless charging system uses inductive power transfer (IPT) to transfer power between a transmitter pad in the ground and a receiver pad on the vehicle, with a power transfer efficiency rate that compares to plug-in charging. The company is actively negotiating funding with a number of industry partners.
HaloIPT's unique differentiator is its superior technology. The charging pads have a small form factor, greater vertical gap and a greater tolerance of misalignment; and this means a lighter, more easily packaged system, with more design flexibility and higher performance. The vehicle can pick up charge even if it is not parked directly over the pad. HaloIPT has used this feature to create dynamic in-motion charging, which allows drivers to charge their vehicles while they drive to solve the range issues faced by electric vehicles today. In future, e-ways lined with charging pads will ensure that vehicles fitted with HaloIPT technology will get a battery boost on the road. This will significantly reduce battery size requirements as well as providing unparalleled charging convenience.
Mungo Park, Chairman, Innovator Capital, says: "CleanEquity is now in its fourth year; our goal is to continually improve the quality of the entrants. HaloIPT is clearly an exceptional company."
Dr Anthony Thomson, CEO of HaloIPT, says: "We are very pleased to have our technology recognised in this way. Our wireless charging technology has the ability to transform the potential of the EV market by making it simpler and safer to charge an electric car."
