Hair Cuttery Providing Haircuts to 50,000 Homeless Individuals

VIENNA, Va., Feb. 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Hair Cuttery, the largest family-owned and operated chain of hair salons in the country, is proud to announce that through its Share a Haircut program, which benefitted the homeless this month, 50,000 people in need will be receiving certificates for free haircuts.

For every customer who visited any of Hair Cuttery's nearly 900 salons to purchase a haircut on February 2-3, Hair Cuttery will be donating a free haircut certificate to a homeless adult or child in that community through partnerships with local shelters and community organizations.

This accomplishment is a testament to the continued success of the original Share a Haircut program, which has donated 900,000 free haircut certificates to disadvantaged children in the community during back-to-school time over the past 15 years. After seeing the impact one haircut can have on a child's confidence for the new school year, growing the program to help adults was a natural next step. To date, the Share a Haircut program has benefitted 1.07M individuals in need.
