Hailo Accelerates E-Hailing Fight In Atlanta
Massive price cut gives riders fare relief, 75% off taxi fares and less than UberX
ATLANTA, Oct. 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Hailo, one of the world's fastest growing e-hail apps, today made a move to take on major ridesharing competitors including Uber and Lyft by introducing new pricing to passengers. The massive price cut makes Hailo rides on average 75% cheaper than a traditional taxi and cheaper than UberX. This price reduction and no surge pricing is a direct challenge to other competitors in the market, but more importantly another step toward helping Atlanta's ground transportation services continue to evolve.
Hailo's model of constructive disruption is helping to enhance the taxi system in Atlanta, using this major pricing slash to showcase innovation in a way that helps the city's transit ecosystem, not destroys it. Passengers will not have to take any additional steps in order to receive this promotion. The fair pricing reduction will be automatically reflected at the end of the trip in the receipt sent via email.
"With these new price breaks and no surge pricing, Hailo is helping local residents and business travelers feel great about their first choice in ground transportation--safe, legal, and licensed taxis in Atlanta. This is an example of another step in helping to modernize Atlanta's taxi system with less infrastructure costs and better pricing by providing the ability to e-hail on demand right from your smartphone." said Kevin Hatfield, President of Hailo North America.
To kickoff the fair pricing initiative, politician Jimmy McMillan of The Rent is Too Damn High party, is joining Hailo's campaign for change, beginning with a viral video. He thinks "The Rates are Too Damn High" and he wants more change, in your pocket. Additionally, Jimmy will be in Atlanta on November 1st at Bobby Dodd Stadium during Georgia Tech's homecoming tailgate before the game against University of Virginia. It is part of Hailo's partnership with the Georgia Tech Alumni Association.
Around the world, Hailo, the smartphone app that gets you a ride in two taps, is a better, easier and faster way to hail a ride. Hailo will serve the interests of the everyman with a seamless ride at a fair price.
