Hailiang Education Congratulates Graduates on Outstanding Academic Results for the 2016 High School and College Entrance Examinations
ZHUJI, China, July 5, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Hailiang Education Group Inc. (Nasdaq: HLG) ("Hailiang Education", "Hailiang" or the "Company"), a provider of private K-12 educational services in China, today announced that its recent middle school and high school graduates have achieved outstanding academic results in the 2016 Shaoxing city[1] High School Entrance Examination ("High School Entrance Examination") and Zhejiang province College Entrance Examination ("Gaokao"), respectively.
In the High School Entrance Examination, the top three results recorded in Zhuji city were all earned by Hailiang students this year. Additionally, for the ninth year, a Hailiang graduate captured Zhuji's highest score. Five additional Hailiang students ranked among the top ten scorers.
Among Hailiang's high school students taking the Gaokao, 189 students reached Zhejiang province's threshold score (or "Yiben") to be accepted by China's first-tier universities, and 16 students passed the independent enrollment tests to be accepted by certain top-level Chinese universities, including Zhejiang University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Fudan University and University of Chinese Academy of Sciences.
