Hahn & Hahn's Jason Lyon Promoted to Partner

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 3, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Hahn & Hahn announced today it has promoted attorney D. Jason Lyon to Partner effective January 1.

"Since he joined us from Latham & Watkins two years ago, Jason has proven himself to be a dedicated advocate for his clients as well as for greater diversity in the firm," said Hahn & Hahn Managing Partner Karl Swaidan. "It was Jason who advocated for the firm to be certified as a majority Women & Minority Owned Business Enterprise."

Lyon, a commercial litigator and the firm's first openly LGBTQ partner, says he is excited to play more of a leadership role at one of the state's oldest law firms as it prepares for the future.

Lyon, who obtained his Bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and his J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law, began his practice in complex commercial litigation, including international arbitration and securities fraud class action defense.  His practice now emphasizes business disputes, pre-litigation risk mitigation and strategy consulting, and high stakes trust contests.  Before becoming an attorney, Lyon was a producer of documentaries, including the 1999 feature release, Five Wives, Three Secretaries, and Me.
