Hachette Filipacchi Media U.S. Names Nick Matarazzo CEO of Jumpstart Automotive Group
NEW YORK, March 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Alain Lemarchand, President & CEO, Hachette Filipacchi Media U.S. (HFM U.S.) today announced that Nicholas J. Matarazzo has been named Chief Executive Officer of Jumpstart Automotive Group. Matarazzo, who will report to Lemarchand, is the former EVP, Group Publishing Director, Men's Enthusiast Group, Integrated Sales & Marketing, for HFM U.S. and served on the board of directors of Jumpstart Automotive Media. He left the company last year when HFM U.S. sold five of its enthusiast titles to Bonnier Corp. As part of a company-wide reorganization, HFM U.S. strengthened its position in the automotive category with both advertisers and consumers by creating the Jumpstart Automotive Group which combined the company's automotive assets including leading automotive consumer brands Car and Driver and Road & Track with digital automotive marketing pioneer Jumpstart Automotive Media. Matarazzo will replace Dillon McDonald who will be leaving the company.

In June 2009, Matarazzo formed Rainmaker Media Solutions, a sales and marketing consulting firm, and his client list included American Media, TV Guide, Mobile Matters and Nelligan Sports Marketing. He began his career at CBS Magazines in 1981 which would ultimately be acquired by HFM U.S. He worked at various publishing and financial positions at the company and, in 1992, was named senior vice president, group publisher for the men's titles, corporate sales and marketing. In September 2004, he was promoted to Executive Vice President, Group Publishing Director, Men's Enthusiast Group, Integrated Sales and Marketing.
