ATLANTA, Oct. 13, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- After a week of building and repairing more than 100 homes in partnership with families in Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas, Habitat for Humanity volunteers joined former President Jimmy Carter at Fort Worth's historic Ashton Depot on Oct. 11 to celebrate the successful conclusion of the 31st annual Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Work Project.
During the closing ceremony, the organization announced next year's Carter Work Project will take place in Pokhara, Nepal, Nov. 1-6, 2015. Joined by Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price and Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings, President Jimmy Carter passed a symbolic wooden trowel to Habitat for Humanity Nepal representative Sushma Shrestha.
